About HelioVision

HelioVision designs and deploys tailor-made Machine Vision systems for major brands. Think of:

  • Automated quality control for Estée Lauder catching the tiniest lipstick defects.

The Role

Are you excited to help build a fast-growing scale-up that delivers cutting-edge Machine Vision solutions to world-class clients? Do you love crafting modern web apps and tinkering with edge devices like Raspberry Pi and Arduino?

Then you might just be our next React & Raspberry Sorcerer.

Your Impact

You'll work on full-stack projects from start to finish, with a strong focus on React development, cloud/edge integration, and real-world deployment.

You will:

  • Build modern web applications (React/TypeScript) — dashboards, operator UIs, and configuration portals that visualize live vision data and control edge devices.
  • Design and develop APIs (Node.js, FastAPI, or equivalent) that communicate with Raspberry Pi's, Arduino boards, and industrial sensors.
  • Integrate hardware + software + AI — image capture, inference, and logic — optimized for reliability and ultra-low latency.
  • Deploy and manage apps at the edge or in the cloud (Docker, GCP/AWS/Supabase), including remote logging and updates.
  • Occasionally go on-site for installation, calibration, and testing at client facilities — bringing your code to life in the factory of the future.
  • Collaborate closely with our CTO and development team to push the boundaries of what's possible in Machine Vision.

Tech Stack

Main playground:

  • Frontend: React, TypeScript, Vite/Next.js, real-time data (WebSockets).
  • Backend: Node.js or Python (FastAPI/Express), REST/gRPC APIs.
  • Cloud & Databases: GCP or AWS, PostgreSQL (or equivalent), Supabase (bonus).
  • Edge & IoT: Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Dockerized deployments, serial protocols (I2C, SPI, UART).
  • Vision & AI (nice-to-have): OpenCV, PyTorch, and computer vision inference on the edge.

What We're Looking For

You're a builder — someone who loves to see ideas come alive in code and hardware. You have:

  • Solid experience with modern web technologies (React or equivalent).
  • Understanding of cloud and databases (e.g., GCP/AWS, PostgreSQL).
  • Curiosity for hardware and embedded systems (Raspberry Pi, Arduino).
  • Bonus points for experience with Deep Learning, Supabase, or Computer Vision.
  • A hands-on mindset, strong ownership, and the drive to turn complex problems into elegant solutions.
